The name Teräspyörä means litterally steelwheel when translated in English. Steelwheel (Teräspyörä) has a long experience in railroad equipment and is located in the crossroads of the Finnish railroad network in Kouvola. Steelwheel is a daughter company of Saalasti Oy. The first railroad deliveries of the company - in those days Saalasti Engineering Office - date back to 1950's. Today Steelwheel delivers many kinds of railroad equipment as well as services the equipment of railroad operators. Our headquarters are located in Espoo, Finland, only 15 minutes away from Helsinki airport.
